Christian J Pepper
Christian is the founder of the Financial Options Group and possesses more than 25 years’ experience in financial services. He has worked with numerous individuals and companies to create bespoke strategies for building significant wealth, helping them to achieve their financial goals and aspirations. Also a prolific investor in local property, Christian has built a number of multi-million pound property portfolios. In 2018, Christian set up the Financial Options Charitable Foundation with the aim of making a lasting difference to the lives of local people in need. Through the Foundation, Christian and his team provide ongoing support for many local charities and organisations.
An avid golfer, Christian enjoys hiking, fishing, and connecting with friends and family.
Sarah plays an instrumental role in business strategy and management of the firm while providing expert advice to individual and corporate clients. Sarah’s leadership approach is underpinned by her commitment to ensuring the firm’s values of client care and community are embodied throughout the business. Sarah takes the lead on event organisation and fundraising for the Financial Options Group Charitable Foundation. She holds an Advanced Diploma in Financial Advice, Chartered Status and Later Life Adviser Accreditation. She was shortlisted for the Financial Adviser of the Year North award in 2020.
Spending time with her little boy Toby, walking their dog Murphy up Holcombe Hill and socialising and shopping with friends are Sarah’s favourite pastimes.
CHARTERED FINANCIAL ADVISER &
DIRECTOR OF CHARITABLE FOUNDATION
Charlotte plays a vital role as our HR lead. She oversees workflow, facilitates training and manages our team of administrators, ensuring staff perform their roles consistently and efficiently. In addition to handling regulation and compliance matters, she is responsible for external relationship management and liaises with stakeholders and providers to build strong, ongoing relationships for the future. Charlotte holds a CII Certificate in Financial Planning and CII Award in Financial Administration (Pensions). She also facilitates ongoing communication with FOG Charitable Foundation charity partners.
Away from work, Charlotte’s love of films and dining out comes second only to spending time with fiancé Tom and going on holidays.
DIRECTOR OF PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT
Paul joined the firm after a spell in partnership and an extensive career with two major insurers. He is passionate about giving his clients greater control over their lives by helping them make better financial decisions and credits a healthy dose of enthusiasm as the secret to his success. In 2019, Paul raised over £7,000 for local causes when he completed the Marathon des Sables in Morocco. He was ‘highly commended’ in the Outstanding Charity Support category of the North West Charity Awards later that year.
Paul enjoys playing squash, spending time with family and supporting the world-renowned ‘reds’. That’s right, Accrington Stanley!
& DIRECTOR OF WEALTH MANAGEMENT
Jenny brings 15 years’ experience to her role at the Financial Options Group. She has worn many hats within the firm, joining as a personal assistant before progressing to become a paraplanner and later a financial adviser. She received her Level 4 Diploma and Certificate in Mortgage and Advice Practice in 2018 and has spearheaded the rollout of the firm’s new family office service as a key point of contact for the firm’s high net-worth clients.
When she’s not in the office, Jenny loves to travel. She is married and her pastimes include photography, long walks and dining out.
FINANCIAL ADVISER &
DIRECTOR OF FINANCIAL PLANNING
Lauren brings 12 years’ financial services experience to her role, having previously worked as a paraplanner and for a pensions review company. She plays a vital role as the firm’s client services lead and is responsible for workflow, training and liaising with external stakeholders. Lauren provides excellent customer service. She has completed her RO1, FA2 and JO7 CII exams and attained the CII Award for Financial Administration (Pensions); she is currently studying towards the RO3 tax planning exam.
At the weekends, Lauren enjoys going to the gym and meals out with her partner and stepdaughter.
DIRECTOR OF CLIENT SERVICES
Tony Marshall is a chartered accountant and chartered tax advisor whose early career steps included a trainee role at a provincial firm of chartered accountants in Bolton followed by a spell at KPMG. In 1998 Tony became qualified as a chartered accountant and worked for a series of independent firms in Manchester city centre before becoming a specialist in taxation. He was admitted as a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation in 1994 and the following year established his own chartered accountancy practice based in Bury. Now in its 25th year, Anthony Marshall Chartered Accountants is a well-respected firm, with over 600 clients operating in virtually every sector of the UK economy.
In Tony's spare time he plays 5 a side football, squash and enjoys going for country walks. He also loves holidays and tries to get away as often as he can.
DIRECTOR OF FINANCE
For more than two decades, Michael was the driving force behind financial services provider, Rossendales Limited, before selling the business in 2007. Soon after, he launched Coaty Developments Limited, a successful property development business with portfolio properties located in Bury and Rossendale. As the Financial Options Group’s Director of Business Strategy, Michael looks after the firm's legal matters pertaining to human resources, health and safety, contracts, tenders and staff welfare. He adeptly supports the firm’s smooth day-to-day operations, with customer care and attention being his number one priority.
Michael is a life-long Manchester United fan. When he's not working, he enjoys walking, fishing and travelling when he can.
DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS STRATEGY
Robert is among the region's best-known and most experienced bankers, with a proven 46-year track record for growth and success in the banking and financial services sectors. He has spent more than four decades in senior managerial roles for RBS and Svenska Handelsbanken, including more than 30 years with RBS where for a spell he served as one of its business development directors. Following this he took on the role of Individual Business Manager at Svenska Handelsbanken, where he worked for another 14 years. Robert’s standing within the North West business community and his extensive expertise enable him to provide the very best service possible to private and corporate clients alike.
Robert's favourite pastimes are country walks with his dog, going on holidays and he loves practicing his culinary skills. He also enjoys socialising and entertaining friends and family.
DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Lauren joined the Financial Options Group straight out of university in 2015. She has since gained her Diploma in Financial Advice and her Certificate in Mortgage and Advice Practice. A great believer in the importance of relationship-building, Lauren takes an empathetic and professional approach to meeting her clients’ financial planning needs. In a dual role, Lauren also works alongside Financial Options Group CEO Christian Pepper as a key contact for high net-worth clients.
Lauren enjoys socialising with friends and taking long walks with her fiancé Grant.
With more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry, Brian is a specialist in all areas of protection and mortgage advice. Having gained expertise over seven years at ethical finance society Friends Life, Brian joined the Financial Options Group in 2018. Brian is committed to helping first-time buyers to find suitable mortgages, and helping those who already have a mortgage save more money. He has a passion for Buy to Let investment and enjoys working with clients to build their portfolios in line with their objectives.
Brian enjoys spending time with his young daughter, family meals out and walks in the park.
MORTGAGE & PROTECTION ADVISER
Joining the firm more than two years ago, Melissa works as an assistant to our Group CEO, Christian Pepper. She benefits from wide-ranging experience, which she has garnered through administrative roles in diverse industries. With a creative eye and excellent attention to detail, Melissa also handles property management and interior design for property companies which are based in Stoneholme and owned solely or in partnership by Christian.
In addition to spending time with her daughter, Melissa has several pastimes including baking, photography and going on scenic walks.
PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO GROUP CEO
Chris joined the Financial Options Group in 2018. His previous financial services roles include eight years spent in Client Support at Chase de Vere. Bringing energy, commitment and attention to detail to the role of Client Services Executive, Chris has completed the Diploma for Financial Advisers and the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice through Quilter’s Financial Adviser School. Chris’s next step is to become a fully qualified financial adviser within the next 12 months.
Chris is an avid Manchester United fan who enjoys travelling, playing football and going to the gym.
CLIENT SERVICES EXECUTIVE
With experience in legal administration at well-known firm DWF, Phil brings a wealth of valuable experience to the Financial Adviser role at the Financial Options Group. In 2020 Phil attained the Diploma for Financial Advisers and the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice. He has recently taken the next step to become a fully qualified financial adviser. He holds a Master’s degree in Politics and Social Policy, which he applies to his work in the financial services industry.
In his free time, Phil enjoys playing basketball and currently plays for the Bury Mavericks. He also enjoys baking, keeping up with current affairs and politics as well as playing strategy-based computer games.
A high achiever driven to deliver outstanding results, Amy joined the FOG team in 2019 and has many years' experience in the financial services industry. Having previously worked for a Small Self-Administered Scheme (SSAS) pension provider, she holds a BA (Hons) in International Business Management and has also completed the Diploma for Financial Advisers and Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice at Quilter’s Financial Adviser School. As a fully qualified adviser, she takes a client-focussed approach, seeing every client individually and putting their needs first.
In her free time, Amy likes going to the gym and walking her dog. She also enjoys spending time with her young niece and nephews.
Danielle first joined the sector in 2017 as a Financial Planning Administrator before joining the Financial Options at the start of 2020. She benefits from excellent people skills and the ability to think on her feet – skills which she honed as a Cash Office Manager in the tourism industry. Danielle is passionate about delivering five star service at each point of contact with clients, exemplifying the high value placed on client relationships across the firm.
Danielle loves spending time with family, friends and her partner. You can find her supporting the Salford Red Devils on a typical Saturday afternoon.
CLIENT SERVICES EXECUTIVE
Grace joined the Financial Options Group team in 2020 after completing her Training Contract at a Top 200 law firm in Manchester where she qualified as a solicitor. She has legal experience in tax, trusts and estate planning and has chosen to progress her career in financial services as she enjoys planning for clients’ futures, thinking critically to achieve innovative solutions, and finding the best way forward when challenges arise.
In her free time Grace enjoys meeting up with friends and family for dinner and drinks.
CLIENT SERVICES EXECUTIVE
Kelly brings many transferrable skills and relevant qualifications to her role as Client Services Executive, having previously worked for a Burnley-based wealth management firm in a client-facing capacity. She is ambitiously working towards the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, and has already passed core units R01 and R02. Ready to gain further expertise in the financial services industry and aiming to grow her career in pensions and wealth management, Kelly is adept at navigating client management platforms and is driven to perform at her absolute best no matter what task she is given.
In her free time Kelly enjoys walking her cockapoos Bella and Ripple, reading novels and spending time with her family, friends and partner.

With a law degree from UCLan and experience in the financial services industry spanning more than six years, Ashleigh is committed to delivering the highest standard of client care as she addresses each client's individual needs swiftly and effectively. Along with great financial acumen, Ashleigh’s analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to make clients feel at ease when discussing personal financial matters make her a great fit for the Financial Options Group team.
Whether relaxing at home or on a night out, Ashleigh makes the most of her free time. She enjoys doting on her two Bichon Frises, Winston and Luna, and jetting off to sunny Spain to visit family whenever possible.
CLIENT SERVICES EXECUTIVE
With a varied skillset which includes fluency in Spanish, and the ability to work to strict time constraints in a high-pressure environment, Sophie possesses professional experience in diverse sectors such as childcare and retail. In the financial services sector, she previously worked for a wealth and pension scheme management firm, where she developed in-depth knowledge of workplace pensions and automatic enrolment.
In her free time, Sophie enjoys yoga, cooking, watching films and taking city breaks.
CLIENT SERVICES EXECUTIVE
Bringing significant experience in pension administration and adviser support across retirement planning and investment sectors, Bradley previously worked for Liberty/Embark and for AJBell as a "first port of call" for enquiries, before joining us as a Client Services Executive. Bradley is both diligent and quick-thinking, with strong social and analytical skills. Used to working to tight deadlines, he puts himself at the forefront of daily tasks and uses his own initiative as he collaborates with colleagues to deliver positive outcomes for clients.
In his free time, Bradley enjoys playing cricket, watching Aston Villa and going out for meals.

Magda leans on her experience working in hospitals and private homes, and a spell as a care assistant for adults with mobility difficulties, to keep our offices in good order. With an eye for detail and a passion for precision, Magda has the very highest standards when it comes to keeping a clean and hygienic office setting. She works hard to provide a safe and welcoming environment for our team and for visiting clients and partners.
Magda loves to nurture her son’s curiosity through museum visits, science experiments and nature walks. A science fiction lover, Magda also enjoys cooking, attending concerts and having a good catch-up with friends.
