Three aspiring financial services professionals are accelerating their careers, having completed the Diploma for Financial Advisers (DipFA) and the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice with support from The Financial Options Group.

Our firm, which is based in Walshaw, Bury, is proud to offer ongoing training and development opportunities to all staff, encouraging them to continuously pursue their own next level of certification and accreditation through the industry’s most respected providers.

We’re delighted to announce that three of our staff members – Christian Jackson, Philip Moss and Amy Whitehouse – have successfully completed the Quilter Financial Adviser School (FAS), a 14-month programme which was developed to help budding financial advisers get firmly on the path to a successful career in the sector.

As well as helping trainees to acquire the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the industry, the FAS also helps to develop the strategic thinking needed to deliver innovative and effective financial planning solutions as well as the behaviours which will help to ensure a sustainable career for the longer term.

The challenging programme involves meetings conducted via virtual classroom and 15 to 20 hours of study each week. While enrolees may spend some working hours completing coursework, the programme requires a significant personal commitment and investment of time.

This is the second cohort from the Financial Options Group to complete the programme, as three of our advisers received the Diploma for Financial Advice and Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice in 2018.

Financial Options Group CEO Christian J Pepper said: “Given the uncertainty of the current climate, and the number of people taking charge of their own retirement income following the new Pension Freedoms, there is an unquestionable demand for high quality financial advisers of great integrity. We are immensely proud to support young women and men like Amy, Christian and Philip, who already show signs of tremendous talent and who I have no doubt will have outstanding careers in this sector. They have proven that despite all the challenges that 2020 has thrown at them they have been able to retain their focus and achieve their goals. All of us here at the Financial Options Group are truly proud of their accomplishment.”

Philip Moss

Philip Moss, who benefits from experience in legal administration, holds a Master’s degree in Politics and Social Policy, which he applies to his work in the financial services industry. In 2021 he plans to take the next step to become a fully qualified financial adviser. Amy Whitehouse

Before joining the team at the Financial Options Group, Amy Whitehouse previously worked for a Small Self-Administered Scheme (SSAS) pension provider. She holds a BSc (Hons) in International Business Management.
